Majority of Georgians want to either go or send their child to Germany or USA to get education. Majority of the surveyed countries do not want to go to any foreign country to continue education.

Six countries (Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Russia, Belarus and Moldova) participated in a survey, which find out respondent’s opinions concerning which country they’d prefer to go to get an education or send their child for the same reason. In each country 1200 respondents were surveyed.

As it turned out, Georgians would like to go to several countries to study or for other educational reasons.
Most named countries where Germany and USA, preferred by the equal amount of respondents (30-30%) (see Chart #1).
Majority of Azeri respondents (28%) would like to go to Turkey to study or send their kid there for the same reason. Russia is the desired country for 15% while equal amount of respondents (15%) said that there is no foreign country they’d like to go to continue education.
Despite low percentage (4%), it should be pointed out that most people who want to get education in Georgia (among surveyed countries) are from Azerbaijan.
Unlike Georgia and Azerbaijan, for the majority of respondents in other countries there is no
foreign country they’d like to go to continue education.
Specifically, this is the opinion of 41% of Belarus respondents, 34% of Moldovan respondents, 29% of Russian respondents and 24% of Armenian respondents.
All in all, according to the results from countries that participated in the survey, most popular countries for visit of educational purposes are USA, Germany and Great Britain.
