Russia - the country with the highest readiness in the region to provide military-political assistance

It isn't surprising that the respondents think that their countries
should provide military-political assistance to those countries with which
their own has friendly relationship, however there’s noticeable tendency that
in most cases they would prefer not to declare such support to any country at all

Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Ukraine and Russia participated in the survey. 1200 respondents were interviewed in each country. They answered the question, to which countries should their own provide military-political assistance, including weapons, military power, international support, and so on.

CMA1 eng Survey results in Georgia showed that in most people's opinion Georgia should provide such assistance to Ukraine in case of need (35%), while significant part (27%) thinks that there's no such country at all (see Chart #1).

As it turned out, half the population of Armenia (52%) and almost a third of population in Ukraine (29%) think that there is no country to which they might provide military-political assistance.

Most of the Azerbaijani population thinks that their country will help Turkey (56%) and Georgia (27%) in military-political issues. Only 13% of respondents think that Azerbaijan will not provide such assistance to any country.

Results were particularly interesting in Russia's case. In opinion of most of its population, Russia might provide military-political help to Belarus (48%) and Kazakhstan (36%).

Aside from these countries, Russians think that their country might provide military-political assistance to other countries both in the region and outside of it (see Chart #2).
